Version history and regenerating

Every change to your document is saved as a version. You can view the full history, compare what changed, and restore any earlier draft.

Viewing version history:

  1. Open your document in the preview panel
  2. Click the clock icon in the toolbar
  3. The version timeline appears showing all changes with timestamps

Rapid edits are grouped together (e.g. "3 edits") to keep the timeline readable. Expand a group to see individual changes.

Restoring a previous version:

  1. Open version history (clock icon)
  2. Find the version you want
  3. Click Restore

Restoring doesn't delete newer versions — it creates a new entry in the timeline. You can always go forward again.

Regenerating a document: The Regenerate button in the preview toolbar creates a completely fresh version of the document. Useful when: - Multiple edits have accumulated and you want a clean slate - The document has drifted from your original intent - You want to try a different approach to the same brief

How it works:

  1. Click Regenerate in the toolbar
  2. A panel shows your original creation prompt (editable)
  3. Adjust the prompt if you want something different
  4. Click "Regenerate as new version"

The AI generates fresh content and saves it as the latest version. Previous versions remain in the history.

Tip: Regenerating keeps everything in one place — it doesn't create a new document, it adds a new version to the existing one. Your library stays tidy and the full history is preserved.
