Editing and updating documents

Once a document exists, you can ask the AI to make changes — from fixing a typo to restructuring the whole thing. Just describe what you want in plain English.

How it works: When you ask for a change, the AI applies targeted edits to your existing document rather than rewriting it from scratch. Your existing content stays intact, only the parts you asked about change, and each edit is saved as a new version.

Word document edits:

  • Content: Fix the typos in section 3, Replace 'Company Name' with 'Acme Ltd' throughout, Add a paragraph about data protection after the privacy section
  • Structure: Add a new section on parental leave after Benefits, Move the Appendix to the end, Duplicate the Performance Review section, Delete the section about the old office
  • Styling: Make headings use a blue colour scheme, Change the font to Arial for body text, Centre-align the Executive Summary, Highlight the key changes in amber

PowerPoint edits:

  • Content: Update the revenue numbers on slide 3, Rewrite the bullet points on the strategy slide
  • Structure: Add a new slide about team growth after slide 4, Duplicate the template slide, Move the thank you slide to the end
  • Design: Change the colour scheme to navy and gold, Set the background to dark grey, Use a two-column layout for the comparison slide

Excel edits:

  • Data: Update Sarah's start date to 15 March 2026, Add a new row for the Marketing department
  • Structure: Add a column for 'Status' after 'Assignee', Add a new sheet called 'Summary'
  • Formatting: Make the header row bold with a dark background, Format the salary column as currency, Style it in black and white for printing

Multiple edits in one message: You can ask for several changes at once: Fix all the typos, add a section on flexible working, and change the headings to use our brand blue

Tip: Use exact heading or title text when asking for changes. If a section is called "Employee Benefits & Perks", referring to it as "Benefits" usually works, but the full title removes ambiguity.
