Security & privacy
The connector is built to the same standards as the rest of OpenOrg.
Read-only by design. Every tool is read-only. The connector cannot create, modify, or delete anything in OpenOrg.
Your account, your boundary. The connection is tied to your OpenOrg account via OAuth. It can only see shared OpenOrg content (the knowledge base and Openverse). It cannot access other members' private chats, files, or workspaces — and it cannot access anyone else's data through your connection.
Pro-gated. Tools only run for Pro members with an active subscription. If your plan lapses, the connector stays added but returns a clear upgrade message instead of content.
Audited. Every connector request is recorded in OpenOrg's security audit log (who, which tool, when) to support our SOC 2 commitments. We never log your AI provider's tokens or your prompt content.
Rate limited. Requests are rate-limited and subject to a daily quota per user to protect the service.
Revoking access
You can disconnect at any time:
- From OpenOrg: Account Settings → Connections, then Revoke next to the connection.
- From Claude: remove the OpenOrg connector in Claude's connector settings.
Revoking immediately invalidates the connection; Claude will ask you to sign in again if you re-add it.
