Connect from Claude.ai (web)

Adding OpenOrg as a custom connector takes about a minute.

Step 1 - Open connector settings

In Claude.ai, go to Customize → Connectors.

On Team or Enterprise, your admin adds OpenOrg under Organization settings → Connectors first — then you Connect here. See Which Claude account can add the connector? if you can't find the option.

Step 2 - Add a custom connector

Choose Add custom connector (or Connect if your admin already added it) and paste the OpenOrg connector URL:

https://workspace.openorg.fyi/api/mcp

Give it a name like "OpenOrg" and continue.

Step 3 - Sign in and approve

Claude opens an OpenOrg sign-in window. Log in with your OpenOrg account, then review the access screen. It will confirm the connector can:

  • Search the knowledge base and Openverse
  • Read specific documents you request
  • Use OpenOrg's people-ops prompts

Click Allow access. You'll be returned to Claude with the connector enabled.

Step 4 - Use it

Start a chat and ask something like *"Search OpenOrg for best practices on running engagement surveys."* Claude will call the connector and cite the sources it used. To use a skill, open the prompts/commands menu and pick an OpenOrg prompt (for example, Roadmap Builder).

Tip: If you don't see the connector's tools, start a new chat or toggle the connector off and on in settings.
