Layer's Handbook

The initial scope was to create an employer branding handbook to support the hiring efforts and the massive growth of the company. It was intended for candidates only and it turned into the first company playbook I’ve built serving both candidates and employees. The onboarding of new employees is entirely done in the handbook - Fully transparent. It has also become one of the top reasons for candidates to show interest in Layer.

Wonder Handbook

Open-sourcing company culture! This handbook was originally intended to make Wonder more attractive to talent during the scaling phase. Eventually, it turned into a company-wide playbook for employees when more and more candidates started evangelizing it into the organisation mentioning it as their No. 1 reason why they got interested in Wonder. It transformed the entire organisation to be outwardly open and transparent about their culture. I see the biggest success in establishing the open-source mindset into people outside of code into the entire value spectrum of an organisation. People stopped thinking about how to attract candidates and rather how can I as an individual create actionable value for myself, my colleagues and my future colleagues on a daily basis. One good example is the working group around [running effective meetings](https://wonderhandbook.super.site/running-effective-meetings), which got Wonder a lot of attention from other companies making use.
