Who can vote Signed-in workspace members can vote for resources on Openverse and on individual resource pages. Guests see vote counts but need an account to participate.
How it works
- Tap the fire icon to vote — each tap adds one vote. You can give up to 50 votes per resource.
- The more you vote, the more you signal that a resource is valuable to the community.
Why we use votes Votes are a community quality signal. They help: - Rank resources on Launches - Surface high-signal people & talent references in sort-by-votes views - Reward hunters and authors whose work genuinely helps practitioners
Good practice
- Vote for resources you have used, read, or would recommend
- Do not coordinate bulk voting for placements—that undermines trust
Privacy Votes are tied to your account for deduplication; they are not shown on your public profile as a leaderboard by default.
